GAP provides an array of services to detained female youth at the Miami Dade Regional Detention Center and Orange County Regional Detention Center. Girls enter our program on a volunteer basis while detained at their respectful centers. Each girl is provided support, gender specific programming, a case plan, and resources to assist her in the transition back to her environment or preparation for entry into residential services. GAP girls are provided group everyday, journaling projects and assistance with their desire to make better choices.
How GAP girls feel:

"...I feel very lucky to be a part of something so helpful to other girls and myself..."..16 year old
"...this program has made me feel great about myself and how I feel like I have a reason to live…because I am a strong girl!!"...16 year old
Please have a look around our website. We have many opportunities to support GAP. Volunteers, community partners, donors and the Department of Juvenile Justice all support GAP in making it a huge success for our girls and their futures.
